Apophysis 2 - Photoshop
Recently rescued a DVD containing all of my old Apo 2.02 pars...lots of them!...in various stages of development. This one was taken by Apo 2.09 very well, and rendered really fast. A far cry from the annoying Apo7X render times.

I was surprised when I read Apo 2 until I saw the rest of your description. I am glad this piece didn't suffer the fate of many other unused renders.
